Drugs and alcohol alter what makes you, you. Many would argue that it simply takes away our inhibitions, to allow us to be more relaxed, to be more ourselves. But I would argue that those inhibitions are part of the many things what make us who we are. Artificially altering ourselves artificially alters our interactions with one another. If our relationships are based on interactions this make our relationships just that — artificial.
